Sutton graduates from Marine recruit training

Private 1st Class Billie Sutton graduated recruit training from the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego on April 9. Prior to his training, Sutton received his associate of applied science degree in welding technology at Western Nevada College in Carson City.

Sutton is the son of Becky and Wade Harlan of Wellington and is a 2006 graduate of Smith Valley High School.

Sutton will return to San Diego to complete the Marine Combat Skill Training Course, after which he'll likely begin school for his military occupation specialties as an aviation electronics technician.
