Rummage sale items wanted

Donations of gently used household items are needed for the Nyona's Studio Relay for Life Team's rummage sale, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 22, at 1687 Highway 395 in Minden Plaza. Sierra Crest Peddler's Faire

Sierra Crest Academy hosts the Peddler's Faire fundraiser, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, at the school, 1701 Lucerne St., Minden. Demonstrations by fencing and archery students, chili cookoff, vendors, rummage sale, live music by Facing Demons, and Tuck Wilson and Michelle Supelana-Mix. Vintage vehicles Sunday

The third annual Friendship Day for fans of vintage automobiles is 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Ramsden Ranch, 2838 Heybourne Road, Minden. Entry of $10 per car includes hot dogs and soft drinks for everyone in car. Bring a pot luck dish to share. Drive your car of 25 years or older to receive special parking and a dash plaque for the first 150 old cars, or come in modern vehicles to park in the pasture. Wine walk Thursday

The Thirsty Third Thursday wine walks return Thursday with the theme of crazy hats and sunglasses. Cost is $10 plus $5 for a commemorative wine glass, which may be used at all 2010 wine walks. Register at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center, 1477 Highway 395, Gardnerville. Sign up for AARP driver class

The AARP Senior Driver Safety class sponsored by Douglas County Parks & Recreation is 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 22 at the Kahle Community Center, 236 Kingsbury Grade, Stateline. Cost is $14, or $12 for AARP members. Instructor is Irv Phillips. Bring a pen. Completion of the course may result in auto insurance discounts. Register, 586-7271.
