Stabbing in Lampe Park results in injury, arrest

One man is in the hospital and another is in custody after a 9 p.m. Friday fight at Lampe Park in Gardnerville.

Deputies received a report a that two men had been fighting and one had been stabbed.

When deputies arrived they found 26-year-old Woodfords resident Brandon Robertson with a stab wound and a slash wound to the chest. They were told that Robertson and Dresslerville resident Brandon Brown, 20, had become involved in an altercation while playing in a softball game.

Deputies searched the park for Brown, finding him, and taking him into custody without incident. He was booked for battery with a deadly weapon in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Robertson was helicoptered to Reno for emergency medical treatment, and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.

Authorities are looking into the history between Brown and Robertson as part of their investigation.
