Charges are expected to be filed Wednesday against Brandon Brown, 20, of Dresslerville, accused of stabbing a 26-year-old Woodfords man at a softball game Friday night at Lampe Park.

The suspect is being held in Douglas County Jail on $25,000 bail.

Prosecutor Laurie Trotter asked East Fork Justice Jim EnEarl on Monday to continue Brown's arraignment until Wednesday.

"The state plans to file criminal charges, but we're continuing to receive reports," Trotter said. "The lowest would be battery with a deadly weapon causing substantial bodily harm."

The victim, Brandon Robertson, was taken by CareFlight to Renown Regional Medical Center and admitted to the intensive care unit.

According to reports, Robertson was stabbed in the abdomen, chest and side.

He was listed in good condition Monday at the hospital.

Deputies were called to the park at 9 p.m. Friday. They were told that Robertson and Brown had become involved in an altercation while playing softball.

They found Brown and took him into custody without incident, according to reports.
