A 20-year-old Dresslerville man was charged with battery with a deadly weapon causing substantial bodily harm in connection with a weekend stabbing at Lampe Park.
According to the criminal complaint filed Tuesday, Brandon Brown is accused of using force or violence in stabbing the victim, 26-year-old Brandon Robertson of Markleeville.
The stabbing took place Friday night at a softball game.
Robertson was taken by CareFlight to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno where he is in good condition with wounds to the abdomen, chest and side.
Brown appeared Wednesday before East Fork Justice Jim EnEarl and said he couldn't afford to hire a lawyer.
EnEarl appointed Kris Brown to represent the defendant and set his next court appearance for May 26.

Deputies were called to the park at 9 p.m. Friday following reports that Robertson and Brown had become involved in an altercation while playing softball.
