Elect Ted Thran

I have always thought experience in an office was the very best reason to elect someone to that office. Ted Thran has been working in the treasurer's office since May 3, 1999. In August 2008 when Barbara Griffin retired from the clerk-treasurer's office Ted Thran was appointed by the commissioners to finish out Barbara's unfinished term. Ted Thran graduated from the University of Nevada and has his certified public accounting degree for the state of Nevada. Ted has been doing a great job as clerk- treasurer for Douglas County.

Ted has worked in various positions throughout the office. Ted has also kept the office open at Lake Tahoe to be of service to Tahoe residents. DMV is still provided to the residents of Douglas County through the Lake Tahoe office. I worked with Ted Thran when I was still assessor in Douglas County and was very impressed with his knowledge and desire to work with our office. It is very important that the clerk-treasurer, assessor, and recorder need to work together to make things easier for you the voter and taxpayer. I have noticed that whenever I go into the court house these offices are all working well together.
