The Brewery Arts Center presents pianist, composer, and teacher Ronald R. Williams in a 50th anniversary recital, 7:30 p.m. June 17, at the BAC Performance Hall, 511 W. King St., Carson City. The program includes toccatas and sonatas by Bach, Scarlatti, Paradisi, Haydn, Schumann, Beethoven, and Ravel. A reception follows the concert.
Emeritus Professor of Music at the University of Nevada, Reno, Williams was a founding member of the Argenta chamber ensemble, is recognized as a master teacher by the Music Teachers National Association, and received prizes for his original compositions. He performs solo and chamber music, and he teaches and coaches in Reno.
"This concert is a very special labor of love celebrating the 50th anniversary year of my first public recital in Nevada, presented in the auditorium of the College of Education on the UNR campus. Thank you for sharing this landmark celebration with me," Williams tell his audience.
