The Tahoe-Douglas Elks Lodge and the Nevada State Elks Association awarded scholarships to two Douglas High School graduating seniors at the Carson Valley Christian Center on May 12.
The recipient of the Tahoe-Douglas Elks Local Scholarship was Nicole Duster who received $750. She also received a scholarship from the Carson City Elks Lodge No. 2177 for $2,500.
Eric Wesolowski received $2,000 from the Nevada State Elks Association in the form of a vocational grant. He was one of three students in Nevada to receive this award.
The scholarships were presented by George Johnson, Youth Activities Chairman, and Tom Zogorski, Exalted Ruler.
