Button, button, who's got Carson Valley Days buttons?
Nearly 30 Valley merchants and offices have them for sale, and anyone planning to attend the June 12 Carson Valley Day Parade should be wearing one or expect to be placed in the rolling Soroptimist Jail.
Soroptimists had thousands of buttons made for the centennial Carson Valley Days event.
While Carson Valley Days buttons have long been part of the annual celebration, this is the first year the button features the official Carson Valley Days logo.
Buttons cost $1 a piece prior to the parade and can be purchased for $2 at the parade.
Proceeds from button sales benefit community service projects sponsored by Soroptimist International of Carson Valley.
Buttons are available at Ace Hardware, Raley's Bank of America branch, Buckaroo's, Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce, Carson Valley Medical Center, Changes, Douglas County Treasurer's Office, Fresh Idea's, French Hotel, Gardnerville Ranchos 7-Eleven, Indigo's, J.T.
