A June 10 fundraiser for Mike Schiller, who was injured in a May 14 auto accident near his home, will feature a celebrity guest.

Cap'n Monte Colburn of the crab boat Wizard from Discovery Channel's "Deadliest Catch" will be in attendance to sign autographs and have his picture taken with those attending the king crab or prime rib feed at Jethro's Oven-Grille & Sports Bar in the Gardnerville Ranchos.

Tickets for the 6-9 p.m. feed are $40 each and there are only 60 spots available. Jethro's owner Dave Cinciala said he's already sold 11 seats to the dinner and he doesn't have tickets yet.

Minden photographer Jay Aldrich will be taking photos of Colburn with both dinner guests and members of the public. All proceeds will go to the Schiller family.

Gardnerville resident Mashelle Begovich said Schiller underwent surgery on Tuesday night and is responding to stimulus, though he is still in an induced coma.

Schiller's sons, Jason and J.J. are working at Golden Nugget Automotive while their father is laid up.

Jason is a U.S. Marine who has done four tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Begovich said Schiller isn't expected to be out of the hospital until late summer.

"He's helped hundreds of people in this Valley without anyone knowing about it," she said. "It was always from his heart. He's so down to Earth and has helped so many different people"

Social hour will start at 6 p.m. with dinner starting at 7 p.m.

Tickets are available at Jethro's or by credit card by calling 265-2215.
