Tumbleweeds Gymnastics and Kaia FIT are hosting its a Family Fun and Fit Day 1-4 p.m. today at its location in Minden.
Event coordinator Alex Negrete said the event is desinged to raise awareness about childhood obesity.
"We want to have a free family fun and fit day annually, so we can help the community become more fit," she said. "We know that children don't get as much physical education as they used to in the schools. Our goal is to get children into the program."
Negrete said the event will feature several booths in avariety of health-related fields including Trader Joes, CV Sports, David Edge DOM, Paradigm Salon and Spa, Silver State Nutrition, Deena Reagan Arbonne Consultant, Wild Bean Catering, GoPower Green.
There will also be fitness testing for the whole family, open gym, face painting, bounce house and games.
Tumbleweeds is located at 2231 Meridian Blvd.
