A funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Nov. 12 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Carson City for 27-year resident Louise Nancy Rose, 91, who died Nov. 2, 2010, in Gardnerville. A rosary will be recited on 5 p.m. Thursday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City. Burial will follow the funeral in Lone Mountain Cemetery.

Born Aug. 25, 1919, in San Pedro, Calif., she was a retired real estate agent and sold Avon products for over 20 years.

She was a former member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, and was a current member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, and belonged to a Bible study/prayer group called "Renew."

Mrs. Rose enjoyed cooking and doing charitable work, and loved singing with the church choir at various convalescent homes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rose; daughter, Cecelia Sciarrotta; brothers, Nick, Tony, Louie, and Jim Trani; and sister, Phyllis DiMeglio.

Mrs. Rose is survived by her sons, Robert (Debbie) Rose of Dayton and James Rose of New York; daughters Helen (Harold) Nelson of Chandler, Ariz., and Maureen (Gary) Mortimer of Gardnerville; son-in-law Chris Sciarrotta of Carson City; sister Helen McClung of San Pedro, Calif.; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Walton's Funerals & Cremations is handling arrangements.
