The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northern Nevada's Season of Wishes campaign will help the Northern Nevada Chapter raise money to grant as many as 35 wishes to children across 13 counties in the coming year.

"This is a great opportunity for our chapter to work with the community to make the wishes of these wonderful children come true," said Cynthia Freeman, new regional director for the foundation.

Season of Wishes offers families, neighbors, co-workers and friends the opportunity to grant the fondest wish of a child with a life-threatening medical condition. Anyone can join the Make-A-Wish Foundation and help by making a donations to the foundation or volunteering your time. See upcoming events at www.northernnevada.wish.org

"Every wish needs caring people in the community to get involved and make it happen," said Freeman. "It's easy for anyone to help a child's fondest wish come true during Season of Wishes, and being part of a child's wish raises everyone's spirits during this joyful time of year."

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northern Nevada is the second incorporated chapter in the country and grants the wishes of 25 to 35 children per year. According to Freeman, the Northern Nevada Chapter has granted 765 wishes to children across Northern Nevada to date. Information www.northernnevada.wish.org or (775) 826-8008.
