EDITOR:
While the rest of the country was out trying to change the mess made by our leaders, most of the people of Nevada were quite content to leave their head in the sand and even more to relish the place they hold in America.
They were proud to have the highest unemployment rate in the nation.
They are proud to lead this country in foreclosures, and bankruptcies. They are happy to be at the bottom in education for its kids.
In order to stay there they had to make the right choice of putting Harry Reid back in office.
Once something works and you are where you want to be, you have to keep the man who got you there in the first place.
Strangely enough, since it is true that the apple does not fall far from the tree, they rejected putting his son in office so they could tag team us into oblivion.
How do you go home and explain to daddy that not only did you lose to a Republican but one of Latino decent to boot. Oh the shame of it all.
Sorry, I digress, on to what I learned on Nov. 4. I learned that even though this state spends a large amount of its time tearing down California, it votes like they do.
We should change the name of the state to East California.
Second I finally learned how to properly pronounce the state's name, it is pronounced Nuh-Vuh-Duh, the duh being of course short for dumb.
We will try again next election, but I don't have a lot of optimism for it.
