Douglas County sheriff's deputies closed down Palomino Lane for about an hour Tuesday after receiving a report that an armed man who'd been drinking threatened his wife.
The original call was in Minden at about 11:30 a.m. Deputies arrived at the Ruhenstroth home around noon in case the man was still home.
Officers set up a perimeter around the home as they continued to search for the 68-year-old man's vehicle, a Toyota Tundra.
It turns out the man was in the south county, where a deputy spotted his truck at the Topaz Lodge.
After backup arrived he was taken into custody without incident after a traffic stop at Holbrook Junction.
