Melissa Oglesby and Craig Hoffman of Gardnerville are engaged to be married Aug. 27, 2011, at Lakeside Beach at Lake Tahoe.
Oglesby is the daughter of Jim and Jody Oglesby of Gardnerville and is a 2005 graduate of Douglas High School. She received an associate of arts degree from Western Nevada College, and will graduate in December from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a bachelor of arts degree. She is employed with Douglas County Parks & Recreation as a recreation leader at Kahle Community Center.
Hoffman is the son of Ralph and Barbara Hoffman of Laurel, Mont., and is a 1998 graduate of Laurel High School. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Montana, Bozeman, in 2004. He is employed as a software design engineer at Metrix Instruments.
The couple enjoy sailing at Lake Tahoe, biking, camping, hiking and spending time with their dog Tucker.
