Broadway, who has lived in TRE for five years, said she has 30 years of pet grooming experience.

Gardnerville Ranchos resident Tessa Birmingham has opened up a new massage business inside Studio Vogue in downtown Gardnerville.
Massage by Tessa specializes in Swedish deep tissue massage, lymphatic, pre/post-natal therapeutic and hot stone.
Birmingham is the daughter of hairdresser Kay Schwob.
"I have lived in the Valley my entire life," Birmingham said. "I feel I understand what activities are around, and I know how to assist in making people feel better."

Christensen Collision Center has opened off Southgate Drive in Gardnerville.
The shop offers auto body repair, auto painting, race car preparation and setup, fabrication and welding.
Owner Robert Christensen said he opened his first shop in 1963 and started racing sports cars in 1968. He now races a formula car.
"I have many years of experience," he said, "and I will come to your home to write an estimate by appointment."

Care agency hosts fall seminar Saturday
No Place Like Home, a local personal care agency, is raising awareness about senior-age falling by teaching prevention strategies.
The company is hosting a free fall prevention seminar 10 a.m. Saturday at the Carson Valley Inn.
