Douglas County Sheriff's deputies closed Angora Drive in the Gardnerville Ranchos Tuesday morning after receiving a report of a man barricaded in his home.
A call was made at 9:16 a.m. that a potentially suicidal man on Angora had isolated himself inside his house with a gun.
Responding units blocked off the road at Long Valley and Lassen and set up to communicate with the man in his home.
According to undersheriff Paul Howell, as of 10 a.m., no shots had been fired, no injuries had been reported and the subject had not broken any laws.
Howell said the man was open to communication and that their objective is to talk him down.
