RE/MAX Realty Affiliates, working with Sharkey's Casino, will be distributing more than 800 meal coupons through an assortment of charitable organizations including the Carson Valley Community Food Closet, Family Support Council, the Back Pack Buddies program, area churches and Douglas County-based community assist services.

Broker-owner John Fisher and the agents of RE/MAX Realty Affiliates of Gardnerville and Carson City are giving up their holiday party to fund holiday dinners for those in need in the community.

Recipients get a meal coupon to use at Sharkey's for a meal anytime until Dec. 31.

The $10 coupon is good for a meal for an adult, or two children's meals (under the age of 12).

"While things are tough financially for most of us, we fully recognize that we are certainly more fortunate than most. Hopefully this will allow folks to have a good meal that they might not otherwise have," said Fisher. "We would also like to thank Ron Terrell and his staff at Sharkey's. Without their support we could not have done it."
