Sheriff's deputies arrested two people Wednesday in connection with a string of burglaries throughout El Dorado County in the past two months.

Craig Ivan Adams, 30, and Katy Kelly Manoff, 26, were arrested about 1:30 p.m. following a traffic stop at the corner of Third and Eloise avenues, said Lt. Les Lovell.

"Their arrests conclude a two-month investigation into pattern type daytime residential burglaries of occupied residences in El Dorado County," Lovell said according to a statement. "Both Adams and Manoff have significant criminal histories with prior felony convictions."

The Sheriff's Office believes the pair are responsible for at least 18 residential burglaries, including four in the Meyers area, three in South Lake Tahoe, three in Pollock Pines, three in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs, two in Greenstone Estates on the west slope, one in Camino, one Granite Bay and one in Incline Village.

Adams and Manoff had been living at the Washoe Motel on Emerald Bay Road for the past two months, Lovell said.

During a search of their motel room Wednesday, deputies discovered cash, stolen property, loaded firearms, illicit drugs and documentation indicating the whereabouts of pawned and sold stolen property, Lovell said.

Lovell thanked the community for numerous tips they received regarding the burglaries, but encouraged people to remain vigilant about their personal property and suspicious activity.

The pair is associated with a significant number of unsolved burglaries in the county, but not all of them, Lovell said.

Both Adams and Manoff were listed as "in custody" at El Dorado County's South Lake Tahoe Jail Thursday afternoon. It is not known if they have retained attorneys.

Bail has been set at $100,000 for Adams and $55,000 for Manoff, Lovell said.
