Meth worth $145,000 seized in Stateline

Law enforcement officers from three agencies seized two pounds of methamphetamine Thursday in Stateline with a street value of $145,000.

Sgt. Jim Halsey said the investigation involved the Douglas County Sheriff's Office Street Enforcement Team, Western El Dorado Narcotics Enforcement Team and the All Threats/All Crimes unit from Reno.

Officers arrested Francisco Sandoval-Estrada, 45, of Modesto, Calif., after he reportedly delivered one pound of suspected methamphetamine to investigators during an undercover transaction.

An additional pound was recovered from Sandoval-Estrada's vehicle.

He was booked in Douglas County Jail on charges of trafficking in a controlled substance, methamphtamine and possession of a controlled substance for sale, methamphetamine. His bail was set at $105,000,

Halsey said Sandoval-Estrada also was being held on an immigration hold through U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
