Nov. 28, 1930

Nevada's share of the profits from the operation of the Boulder canyon project, will approximate $600,000 annually, after the project is in full swing, according to a financial abstract just worked out by the department of the interior. The annual revenues from the prospect accruing one-half to Nevada and one-half to Arizona at the end of the first year's operations, will amount to $3,386.

Nov. 24, 1960

After many months of darkness and silence, the Minden Inn reopened its doors this week, and scores of Carson Valley residents crowded into the establishment to take a look at it and to attend the free buffet dinner. The bar opened Monday after the County Commissioners granted a liquor license to Maurice R. Kline, president of Minden Inn, Inc., the corporation which now owns the long unoccupied building.

Nov. 21, 1985

The final addition to the Stratton Center in Gardnerville is under construction. The 7,080-square-foot building will, by next February, house a pizza parlor, clothing store, and other offices. When completed, the structure will bring the total square footage of the Gardnerville shopping complex to more than 30,000 square feet.

What is Thanksgiving without turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie? More than 200 families won't have to find out because volunteers at the Carson Valley Food Closet worked a long day Tuesday to make sure they had the traditional trimmings of a Thanksgiving dinner.
