The Frances C. and William P. Smallwood Foundation recently granted $20,000 to the Carson Valley Arts Council to help fund an executive director position.
"The Carson Valley Arts Council is very excited about the opportunity to hire an executive director," said CVAC President Brian Fitzgerald. "Filling this position will allow the organization to establish a consistent presence in the community and to focus on building memberships and partnerships. We thank Suzy Stockdale and the board members of the Smallwood Foundation."

The Carson Valley Arts Council, a nonprofit corporation, is seeking a creative and energetic executive director. This part-time position requires attention to detail along with strong organizational skills to manage projects throughout the year. Writing skills are also a necessity along with grant research/writing and marketing experience. Responsibilities include building membership and donor base, oversight of programming and operations as well as building partnerships in the arts community.
