Crafting fair Saturday

Local crafters, cooks and canners present their wares in the Trimmers Outpost barn at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, and Dec. 4 and 11. Free craft sessions for children, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free hot chocolate and coffee. The barn is behind Trimmers Outpost, 2276 Main St., Genoa. Information, 782-4517.


Gift tree benefits shelter animals

The second annual Holiday Gift Tree to benefit dogs and cats at the Douglas County Animal Shelter is Monday through Friday, Nov. 29-Dec. 20 at Max's Pet Supplies in the Raley's shopping center in Gardnerville. Free blood pressure checks

Merrill Gardens at Gardnerville will hold free weekly blood pressure clinics for the public starting 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, at Merrill Gardens at Gardnerville, 1565-A Virginia Ranch Road, behind the Carson Valley Medical Center.


Minden Weihnachts Market

Vendors wanted for the Minden German Christmas marketplace, 2-8 p.m. Dec. 3 and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 4 at the COD Garage on Esmeralda Avenue. Craft booth spaces open

Gallery hosts reception

The East Fork Gallery hosts their annual Christmas reception, noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 5, at 1503 Highway 395, Gardnerville. Fine art, pottery, art class, jewelry, ornaments, seasonal gifts. Refreshments include wine and Cabot Vermont cheddar cheese.

Crafters wanted
