Project Santa Claus winter clothing donations accepted at Helping Hands Thrift Shop, 1418 Industrial Way, Gardnerville. Those in need of warm clothing receive vouchers through Douglas County Social Services to get warm clothing at Helping Hands.
Youth helmet drive
Carson Valley Medical Center is seeking the help of the community to keep youth safe this holiday season and beyond by hosting a youth bike helmet drive Dec. 1 - 13.
New helmets for toddlers through teenagers can be dropped off in the hospital lobby at 1107 Highway 395, Gardnerville, to be distributed through Project Santa Claus to those families in need.

Project Santa Angel Trees
Sponsor a child in need for Christmas by picking an angel from one of the Project Santa Claus Angel Trees in Carson Valley businesses.
The angels include information about a child and one gift request. Wrapped gifts should be returned to Angel Tree locations by Dec. 15 to be distributed to families a few days before Christmas. Information, Marilyn Malkmus, 782-4931.
