A 21-year-old Gardnerville man is scheduled to plead guilty in district court this morning to one county of felony lewdness with a child under the age of 14. Juan Daniel Martir waived a preliminary hearing in East Fork Justice Court on Nov. 17. Martir is being held in lieu of $202,500 bail in Douglas County Jail.

Chain restrictions are pretty much gone from the map this morning. Highway 395 south of Walker still requires chains or snow tires most of the way to Bridgeport, as does Highway 89 most of the way between Truckee and Sierraville.

It's going to be cold today with the high hitting a balmy 30 degrees and then dropping down to 9 over night. It'll warm up pretty quick as the week progresses, with the high hitting 48 degrees by Thursday and the lows climbing to around freezing. The temperature in Genoa at 6 a.m. is 10 degrees, 9 degrees in Minden and 14 degrees at Meneley Elementary School in the Gardnerville Ranchos.
