The new owner of Valley Door Works, Jason Lowry, has moved the company out of Gardnerville to a new location in Minden, 1176 Angela Ct., Suite 105.
The business phone number remains the same at 782-2850.
Former owners Charles and Kathy Grant are retiring and will now divide their time between Nevada and Arizona.
"Valley Door Works has been a fixture in the Carson Valley for many years, and I plan to offer the same services and to expand the company," Lowry said. "The Grants have helped make the transition smooth giving our commercial and residential customers the same service and pricing that has made Valley Door Works a success."
The company sells hollow metal and wood interior and exterior doors, door frames, millwork and hardware.
Their new Web site is www.valleydoorworks.com.
Continuing to help Nevadans realize the dream of homeownership, the Nevada Rural Housing Authority announces the continuation of a $25 million bond program, Home at Last, which offers a free cash down payment and competitive mortgage rates to first-time homebuyers and veterans.
The interest rates, 3.99 (non-assisted loans without a down payment) and 4.5 percent (assisted loans with 3 percent down payment grant), are the lowest NRHA has ever offered in its history and one of the lowest in nation.
The deadline to apply for the program is Nov. 10.
