Douglas senior Bethany Wurster raced out to a six-stroke lead on Day 1 of the Northern 4A Regional Golf Championships at RedHawk Lakes in Sparks on Monday.
Wurster shot a 73 while Spanish Springs' Tess Jones trailed in second at 79.
Douglas' Tawnie Wentz shot a 95 to come in 17th as the Tigers stood in fifth at 380 behind Spanish Springs, Carson, Manogue and Reno in order.
Emily Gosselin was 34th at 105, Molly Jordan was 35th at 107, Megan Welch was 41st at 113 and Devyn Hotho was 48th at 119.
