The Douglas girls' soccer team cruised past Wooster and Spanish Springs last week, outscoring the two teams by a combined score of 10-0.

Tia Lyons led the Tigers in a 6-0 win over Wooster, scoring four goals and assisting on another.

Shannon Prinz had a goal and two assists and Katie Dry had a goal.

Bri Randall and Courtney Randall combined on the shutout.

On Saturday, the Tigers blasted Spanish Springs 4-0 as Lyons scored two more goals and Prinz and Natalie Freitas each scored one.

Lexie Weaver and Alex Laing had assists in the game and Randall posted 10 saves in recording the shutout.

Douglas fell at Spanish Springs 6-0 on Friday afternoon in Reno.

"We were superiorly outmatched," Douglas coach Milko Vasquez said. "They are a very skilled team."

Spanish Springs jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first half and Douglas was unable to find an answer offensively.

Vasquez credited the play of Jake Passas and Mason Jackson.

"Mathematcally, we're still in it," Vasquez said. "But there is no room for error. We have to pick up some big wins to get there."
