Motorcyclist injured in Genoa Lane accident

A motorcyclist was injured Saturday night on Genoa Lane near the Settelmeyer silos just east of Genoa.

The victim was found lying in a field after the accident which was reported at 9:45 p.m. The rider had irregular breathing when medics arrived. Care Flight helicopter transported the victim to Renown Medical Center for treatment.

Firefighters from Genoa and Minden responded to the accident.

Genoa Lane was closed while the helicopter landed and the accident was cleared.

It was the second motorcycle accident with injury on Saturday.

At 12:15 p.m. a report of a motorcycle versus a van on Highway 4 near Silver Creek in Alpine County.
