Nearly 1,000 doses of the flu vaccine were distributed Saturday morning at East Fork Station 12 in Sunridge.
The drive-through flu clinic also served as a point of dispensing exercise, should there be an actual medical emergency that requires residents to receive large amounts of a vaccine in a short period of time.
East Fork Deputy Chief Steve Tognoli said that nearly 2,500 doses were available to Douglas County residents.
Those doses that weren't distributed on Saturday will be used for another clinic in Carson Valley.
The vaccination dealt with three types of flu believed to be a threat this season, including the H1N1.
