Women speak in Dakota's 'Talking With ...' opening Thursday

The Dakota Organization presents "Talking With ...," Jane Martin's character study of women's loves, loneliness and obsession is performed 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday, at the CVIC Hall, 1602 Esmeralda in Minden.

Tickets are $15 for general admission, and $10 for students and seniors, available at the Copeland Cultural Arts Center in Minden, or at thedakotaorganization.com

Jane Martin's characters address the value of quirky behavior and society's indifference toward it.

The play is 10 monologues by the characters of a snake handler, daughter, baton twirler, washed-up rodeo cowgirl, tattooed woman, a woman in the twilight of her years, belabored immigrant, a McDonald's devotee and ex-rodeo queen talk about the lessons they learned.

Actors in the production include Ann Sullivan, Ginger Nicolay-Davis, Kathlee Agajanian, Pam Taylor, Stephanie Grigsby and Denise Wagner.

The Dakota Organization is a 501(c)3 Nevada nonprofit corporation.

Part of the proceeds of these performances will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association.
