EDITOR:
I am writing this letter to express my appreciation for the conference I attended on Oct. 13. It was held by Douglas County TRIAD, which is made up of the Seniors, Douglas County Fire department and the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. The class was called Caring for the Caregiver and as a registered nurse I was interested in attending. Not only was the class free of charge, it included continuing education credits and breakfast and lunch. The class was geared to anyone who is in a caregiver role. The topics covered ranged from Elderly Protection Services, 911 information, relaxing and stress relieving techniques for the caregivers in ongoing home based situations and much more. It was well worth my time. Thank you for all the hard work put into this thoughtful class.
