Staff Reports

Auditions for the TOAD production of "Mulan Jr." are 4-7 p.m. Sept. 15 or Sept. 17 at Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School, 701 Long Valley Road, Gardnerville Ranchos.

Auditions open to ages 6-18 for the stage adaptation of Disney's "Mulan." There are 11 principal, 10 featured roles, plus ensemble. Many of the female and male principal characters need to be able to sing solo lines. Several major roles need be played by males because the story of Mulan is about a woman pretending to be a man.

Prepare a one-minute audition song, with CD accompaniment with no vocals. There will also be a small dance audition. If help is needed in selecting audition pieces, contact Brynn Garrett at brynn_garrett@yahoo.comĀ

Cost to participate is $100, due at the first rehearsal. Financial assistance and payment plan information, toad.vpweb.com or (775) 219-3577.

Performances are Dec. 10-12, and Dec. 17-19 at Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School.
