Douglas County is one of the greatest places in the world to live. People truly care about everyone. I would like to thank everyone for their support in this very difficult time for me. It all started May 14 when I was in a serious car accident. Everyone involved never gave up no matter how bleak my condition got. I am grateful to the people who found me, the Douglas County paramedics, the Care Flight crew, the trauma department at Renown Medical Center, and all the wonderful staff at Renown re-hab center. No one gave up and so I owe them my life.

I would also like to thank my brother Ron, my two sons JJ and Jason who were so instrumental in making good decisions on my behalf, and keeping my business alive and doing well. I would like to thank all my valued customers for their continued support at Golden Nugget Automotive.

Thanks to Michelle Begovich and Jethro's Oven-Grille & Sports Bar threw me a benefit dinner with Cap'n Monte Colburn from "Deadliest Catch," which sold out an hour. Thanks to Dennis and Jolie McDuffee started a Web site for me on Caring Bridge and opened a bank account for donations and we raised around $8,000.

Thanks to The Record-Courier for publishing constant updates, the people of St Galls parish, Father Paul, Father Bill for visiting and the last rites, and all the people who either cooked for me or gave me rides. When I arrived home I realized I needed a handicap bathroom, and the community stepped up again. I would like to thank Mark Barnett, Mark Ward from Jackrabbit Plumbing, Don from Jackson Drywall, Rogers Carpet 1, Jesse Cribbs, Valley Door Works, Tom Hickey T-Electric and Greenwood Painting, for making my life much more convenient.

I would also like to thank some angels, Monica Wichner, Marca Alexander, my doctors, Maria Bowman, my case manager, Patrice Goodrich for making re-hab happen, Christene Leising, Renee Haskell and Stacey Rathborne for all the things behind the scenes. I would like to thank all the churches for your continued prayers as I appreciate all of you and your prayers have been answered.

I am working out at Sierra Physical Therapy and have a way to go. My new leg works good, and I walk for a minimum of an hour a week. I plan to start work in the next few weeks, but it may not be full time at first. I had planned a party for this weekend. However, it will be scheduled at a later date as Monte's boat broke down in Seattle, and he is the crab king and captain on the world's "Deadliest Catch."

My future looks bright and I could not have done this well without the continued support of my friends and family and my valued at Golden Nugget. God bless everyone.
