The JP discussion is first up after consent agenda, so expect an answer early this afternoon.
Commissioners will also get an earful from residents who recently discovered they are in the Fairgrounds water system. The commission meets at 1 p.m. today in the Douglas County commission chambers, located inside the historic Minden courthouse, 1616 Eighth St. Water rate increases are hitting all of the county's water systems.
Gardnerville Ranchos residents who believe the improvement district's weed spraying is killing their foliage can file a claim with the district's insurer. The Ranchos improvement district board voted to stop using the brand of herbicide blamed in the deaths.
