The commission meets at 1 p.m. today in the Douglas County commission chambers, located inside the historic Minden courthouse, 1616 Eighth St. Water rate increases are hitting all of the county's water systems.
Gardnerville Ranchos residents who believe the improvement district's weed spraying is killing their foliage can file a claim with the district's insurer. The Ranchos improvement district board voted to stop using the brand of herbicide blamed in the deaths.
