If you have problem just let the taxpayers provide a solution. It matters not that the problem is the result of your own actions the Givermint (pun intended) is here to help. If you believe that read no further.
The mindset that cash for clunkers, the nationalization of the auto industry, homebuyer tax credits, bank bailouts, etc., is acceptable has trickled down to Douglas County. Case in point, the water system problems. It's a safe bet that government created the problem so don't expect it to solve the problem using the same thinking. Perhaps the best solution is to get government out of the way by turning the entire system over to a new private entity. Passing the problem to taxpayers is not an acceptable solution in my book.
