EDITOR:
I could not disagree more with the letter written by L. O'Neill. These men have issues that need to be addressed. As a small community we have every right to know who our children are exposed to.
That would include coaches, neighbors, and a supposed family man and stepfather to his victim. If we do not band together as a community our children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews will never be safe.
I personally think these headlines should make the large media. If you had an immediate family member who had been assaulted by one these men I am sure you would feel much different. Their actions have and will continue to affect the entire family members of their victims. I know this first hand because my daughter was married to one of the men that now is awaiting his sentencing. You say you know these men but do you really? We thought as a family we did too, and we were all wrong.
