Dearly beloved, we will gather together to laugh at the misfortunes of others in the Carson Valley Community Theatre's production of "Perfect Wedding," opening tonight at the CVIC Hall in Minden.
The comedy is about friends and family in the joyous occasion of matrimony, but the wedding might be less than perfect when the hung-over groom wakes up with a strange woman in his bed on the morning of his wedding day.
"Perfect Wedding" is written by Robin Hawdon and directed by Lucille Rao.
The fast-paced comedy stars Anthony Aldrich as the groom, Brittney Kinsey as the bride and Victoria Grathwohl as her mother, Mike Trute as the best man with Cindy Davis as his date, and Chanden Robasciotti as the chambermaid.
The set was designed by Norris Edson, and decorated by Bill Lucky and Lucille Rao. Lucky is in charge of stage properties, Desiree Jones is stage manager and Justin Clouser is the lightman. Other crew includes Thomas Rao, 10, as usher, and Shannon Hickey in ticket sales.
"Perfect Wedding" is performed in two weekends: 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday, and next week at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 24 and 25, and 2 p.m. Sept. 26.
