It's becoming nearly old hat for the Douglas High girls' golf team.

Another league tournament, another solid fourth--place.

The Tigers (406) came in just 15 strokes behind third-place Galena (391) while Carson best Manogue for the team win at Arrowcreek in Reno.

"The kids played well," Douglas coach Steve Gustafson said. "They all shot their season averages, which was tough to do. Arrowcreek was probably the toughest course we've seen this season.

"It generally plays 5 to 10 strokes tougher for most players. Scores should have gone up, but they didn't."

Bethany Wurster took second place with a 77 to Manogue's Maggie Jones, who shot a 76.

"Unfortunately, Bethany had a struggle on the third hole," Gustafson said. "She carded a nine after hitting her tee shot into the sagebrush. She made a quick recovery, shooting even par the rest of her round.

Tawnie Wentz shot a 103 for Douglas, Molly Jordan came in at 111, Emily Gosselin shot a 115, Megan Welch finished at 122 and Maddy Emery shot a 131.
