Volleyball: Sierra Lutheran keeps rolling

The Sierra Lutheran volleyball team ran its season record to 11-0 overall (10-0 in conference play) with a pair of impressive wins over Mineral County Tuesday afternoon in a doubleheader.


The Falcons swept both of its matches in a doubleheader against the Serpents.


Junior Tiffany Patrick led the team with 14 aces, 12 assists, nine kills and two digs over the course of the two matches.


Junior Hannah Ediss added two assists and eight kills. Sophomore McKinze Tynes had five kills and a solid night at the net with five blocks.

Senior Mariah West was a key defensive player and had five key digs, three of which resulted in points for the Falcons. West also had three kills.



Sierra Lutheran next travels to Smith Valley on Friday at 4 p.m. before a showdown for first place in the league on Oct. 5 at Coleville.
