Baseball tournament benefits Boys & Girls Club

A men's wood bat tournament, and coed/women's tournament, and home run derby to benefit the Boys & Girls Club begins 9 a.m. Oct. 9 in Lampe Park in Gardnerville.

The event includes a community pancake breakfast hosted by the Knights of Columbus, food and drink sales hosted by the Men's Active 20-30 Club and the Boys & Girls Club.

Men are required to use wood bats, while women may use any ASA or USSSA approved bat. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three games. First-place cash prizes for both divisions.
