'Praying the Labyrinth' at St. Gall

St. Gall Catholic Church will host "Praying the Labyrinth," as an aid to contemplative prayer and reflection during the Easter season.

The St. Gall labyrinth will be open 3-8 p.m. April 15; 9 a.m.-4 p.m. April 16; 9 a.m.-2 p.m. April 17; 9 a.m.-noon and 5 p.m.-8 p.m. April 18; 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5 p.m.-8 p.m. April 19; and 9 a.m.-noon and 5 p.m.-8 p.m. April 20.

Unlike a maze, labyrinths have only one path - there are no dead ends. The path has three stages: the "inward" journey, the middle-centering, and the outward journey representing incarnation. People walk the labyrinth slowly. This contemporary version includes music, meditations, art, media and symbolic activities at "stations."

St. Gall is located at 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville. For additional information call the church office at 782-2852.
