CLEAR CREEK BOWMEN CLUB

Not many people know about the relocation of this archery range, which was once nestled below Spooner Summit at the top of Clear Creek Road. But now, thanks to the Carson City Recreation Department, it has its own special area located and very accessible at the Centennial Park off Highway 50 East. The CCB Archery Club is hosting two archery shoots. The first shoot is for children ages 12 and younger. It's very affordable and a lot of fun for boys and girls. The second archery event, the Cancer Shoot is for the entire family. What's great about this event is it's not your usual outdoor hike or baseball game. It's about bow and arrows and perhaps a lot of competition between family members. Who can hit the bull's-eye first? Equipment will be available.

WHO: Clear Creek Bowmen is a non-profit archery club

WHAT: Clear Creek Bowmen Fun Youth Archery Shoot & Cancer Shoot

WHEN: Children's shoot 11:30 a.m. May 7; registration 11:30 a.m. Shoot starts at noon. CCB Archery Cancer Shoot May 8; registration 8 a.m. Shoot starts at 9 a.m.
