Lois Louise Burke Pennington, 84, of Washoe Valley died April 19, 2011, in Carson City. She was born Dec. 19, 1926, in Detroit, Mich. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alice Andersson and brother James Burke. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Al and Delane Pennington of Washoe Valley; daughter Laura Rogers of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; brothers John Burke of Redford Township, Mich., and Timothy Burke of Pinckney, Mich.; sister Sharon Shanley of Detroit, Mich.; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. No local service will be held. Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
