The Nevada Commission on Economic Development approved on Tuesday the tax incentive packages for three companies opening distribution centers at the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center this year.
Among those companies is Toys "R" Us, Inc., which plans to open a 300,000-square-foot e-commerce distribution center at the Storey County industrial park by July to help expand the company's West Coast reach.
The other companies are GSI Commerce and Schluter Systems.
Toys "R" Us said it plans to create more than 120 full- and part-time jobs at the distribution center and will add approximately 230 seasonal positions later this year to help fulfill orders throughout the holiday season.
"As more consumers enjoy the simplicity and ease of online shopping, Toys "R" Us continues to invest in e-commerce enhancements to advance customer service and satisfaction across all shopping channels," said Jerry Storch, the company's chairman and CEO, in a statement.
