Eric Michael Kvam, 23, died on April 20, 2011, while on his way to one of his favorite fishing spots at Hobart Lake. He was born June 8, 1987, to Robert Lars Kvam and Jean Marie Kvam in Carson City. He graduated from Carson High School in 2006.
Eric lived for the moment, never turning down an opportunity for adventure, excitement, travel, or friendship. He was an avid bicycle rider, fisherman, outdoor enthusiast, natural humorist, and restless free-spirit. Those who had the good fortune of coming near the light of his life and the warmth of his soul understood how caring, joyful, and inspirational Eric was.
He will always be remembered for his wild, animated personality, one that drew so many to him and never ceased to make us admire his unbridled life. Eric was a being who resided some where between dreamscape and high imagination. We will be ever-grateful for those moments that he graced this world - and us - with his presence.
Eric is survived by his father, Robert Kvam; mother, Jean Kvam; and older brother, Jay Jensen Kvam. He is also survived by his grandmother, Blanche 'Billie' Marie Dailey, and too many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins to enumerate.
A gathering of family and friends will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, April 26 at FitzHenry's Funeral Home with a time to share memories and celebrate his life commencing around 7 p.m.
If you wish to contribute to his memory, please make a donation to the Tahoe Rim Trail Association at 948 Incline Way Incline Village NV 89451.
