Carson City
Kids triathlon successful event
The Capital City Kids triathlon, organized by the Carson Tigersharks Swim team and the Carson Aquatic Facility took place on Saturday (July 23) at the Carson Aquatic Facility and Mills Park.
This was the eighth year that this triathlon has taken place and it attracted 150 kids from 4 to 18 years of age.
This is a great beginner's triathlon and a fundraiser for the Tigersharks swim team.
The Tigersharks would like to thank the businesses that sponsored this event. Allowing them to give a T-shirt and a great medal to all the finishers.

With help, it's been year of recovery
It's unbelievable that a year has passed since we left Nevada. Thanks to all of you, it has been a year of recovery and hope. To our Ruhenstroth neighbors, thank you for always being there for us, from snow shoveling to yard sale shopping we knew we could always count on you. To Steve and family, thanks so much for the "landscaping" help and so many other things we couldn't have accomplished without you. To Jan and family, thank you from us and Daisy. To Dick and the car guys, thank you for hauling away so many things, even the ones you couldn't use. We knew we could always count on you no matter what. To the Douglas Dukes, thank you for your help and support. To Uncle Herman and family, thank you for your special blessings that always provided hope. To our Smith Valley family, thank you for your constant support throughout every day and night. You are the greatest! To Dan and Michelle, thank you for everything you did to make sure all the "business" was taken care of and for your willingness to help us in any way you could. To the Carson Valley Hospital Outpatient Services, especially Kyle, Shawn and Ben, thank you for pushing and encouraging us through every bit of rehabilitation. To anyone we may have failed to mention, please know all of your kindness and help has not been forgotten.
