Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Matthew Giganto, 42, unemployed from Dayton, was arrested at 11:07 p.m. Wednesday at William Street and Saliman Road on suspicion of felony third-offense driving under the influence of drugs, possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $10,000.

• Rebecca Craighill, 34, of Dayton, was arrested at 11:07 p.m. Wednesday on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $2,500.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:

• Report at 5:41 p.m. of a juvenile stealing alcohol from a market on North Carson Street. When deputies went to contact the girl, they discovered her mother had a $1,000 warrant. The mother was arrested. The daughter cited for petty larceny.

• Report of juvenile girls fighting at 11:40 a.m. in the 1600 block of Fall Street.

• A mother reported at 12:47 a.m. that her daughter stole from her other daughter.

• Report at 10:41 a.m. of a prescription pad stolen from a medical office on Mountain Street.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:

• Arrest of a drunken driver at 12:10 a.m. on Main Street in Gold Hill.

• A man reported at 7:55 a.m. from Lafond Avenue that cows were on his property again.

• Report at 9:45 a.m. on Adobe Road of an abandoned foal. "It appears to be exhausted and gasping."

• Theft of an American flag at 10:32 a.m. on Rue De Divoire.

• Drunken driving arrest at 10:08 p.m. on Sam Clemens Avenue.
