Eighteen carloads of people came in to attend the Caledonia picnic. No less than 2,000 people were on the grounds. In the rear of the shooting range was an enclosure in which games were placed peculiar to the Scotch. The fun began by throwing a heavy hammer which was just a cannon ball fastened to a long handle.

Warden Baker, who has ten men on King's Canyon road, has broken camp and taken the men to Lakeview, where the work of building a new road is in progress. Riders will like the fact that passing areas have been added in a few places.

New signs are appearing on local businesses for the filming of "The Remarkable Andrew." A cast of about 100 players is expected to arrive from Paramount late today.

An SOS has been sounded by the sewing chairman of the Carson-Tahoe Hospital Auxiliary, Mrs. Juanita Morgan. Assistance is needed immediately if the auxiliary is to keep up with the job of mending at the hospital.
